Cinemate 130 Home Theater System

Do you still need more infor about CineMate 130? Well, keep reading additional information on CineMate 130 below.

This home theater system is awesome. Cinemate 130 has great sound quality. The sound out of this thing is amazing for its size. TV, cable, streamed content all sound first rate. Easy setup and great for small spaces. Well worth the effort, even for old fart who watch arty stuff. Cinemate 130 Home Theater System can easily hear the low mumbles we previously had to back up to translate, often without luck. The sound is crisp and clear and the picture, with the included HDMI cables is vastly improved. It took some doing to accommodate the speaker bar, since we have a wall-hung TV, but it was well worth it. The other components easily tuck away. Everything is gorgeously sleek, as one expects from Bose. The AcoustiQ device helps perfect the sound, with very minimal effort--you just sit down and get up and walk around. Easy peasy!

Finally Bose has broke the shackles of providing a restrictive system for audio inputs. This is a good move by bose to provide a console with a variety of input options. This move perfectly compliments the state of the art design of the speakers.
Cinemate 130 Pros :
1) Setup is easy.
2) HDMI Arc is not a requirement to get this system working which was my primary concern.
3) Bluetooth adapter is a good add-on to this system and its an easy setup as well.
4) Sounds perfectly fine at lowest volumes (I like this personally)
5) Sounds thunderous Loud at high volumes(Have capability to adjust Bass/ Treble/Center channel etc.)
6) Wireless Acoustimass module which pairs without any manual intervention even at the first time setup (There is an option to pair the module manually as well)
7) Free of the wire clutter across your room.

Cinemate 130 Cons:
1) Didn't get perfect Surround sound experience as of a full blown 5.1 system(It may be because of my apartment living room which is uneven and big). Since this is a soundbar system it would be effective in a perfect box type room

Why would you spend the money to buy the Bose CineMate 130 instead of one of the lower cost Bose Acoustimass system? Beyond the amazing sound that the CineMate 130 achieves is the simplicity of only needing two speakers instead of five to achieve the surround sound experience. No longer do you need to hide the wires that go to the rear speakers and the subwoofer which is truly convenient. With the CineMate 130, you also dont need to buy a 5.1 stereo receiver since the included control console does all of the signal processing. You are basically paying for the signal processing and all of the little speakers in the sound bar that are used to simulate the total of five speakers that are normally used for surround sound.

Whats in the box?
In the well organized box you will find the console, the soundbar, the wireless Acoustimass module (subwoofer), three power cords (one for each component), a HDMI cable, the speaker cable between the console and the soundbar, the remote and batteries for the remote. You will also find the ADAPTiQ headset for calibrating the room.

Setup
In addition to the manual, there is a one page diagram with instructions which detail the order in which the components should be setup. I have also tried connecting components out of order and the system still turned on just fine. The setup took about 15 minutes which included the time required to route all of the cables between my devices. Note that you will need three free power outlets for the CineMate, one each for the console, the soundbar and the subwoofer.

The wireless connection between the console and the subwoofer makes it easy to place the subwoofer in the room as long as you have access to an electrical outlet. The guide recommends placing the subwoofer on the same wall as the TV or on any other wall in the front 1/3 of the room. The soundbar goes in front of the TV.

There are four HDMI inputs for your sources (Blu-Ray player, cable, etc), one analog audio and one coaxial digital audio connector. There is one HDMI output which goes to your TV. For those with a 4K TV, the CineMate system will pass through Ultra High Definition 4K video from a source device to the TV at 24 or 30 frames per second.
